On behalf of the Organising Committee it is my great pleasure to invite you to join us for the second Home Modifications Australia (MOD.A) National Conference taking place on 14 and 15 August at ANZ Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park.
This year’s conference – Going for Gold: the pursuit of best practice in the age of reform – will focus on quality and innovation within the home modification industry, and how we as a sector can make a real and positive improvement to the lives of Australians in their homes. Issues to do with quality and best practice are becoming increasingly important in a consumer-directed market, and in 2017 MOD.A aims to deliver Australia’s first home modification standard. The conference is an exciting opportunity for providers, researchers and consumers to come together to hear about the latest and best in home modifications from around Australia as well as examples internationally, and to promote the primacy of a safe and functional home to the successful achievement of aged care and disability service reforms.
The conference will bring together experts and practitioners from the allied health. community and building sectors, as well as government officials, consumers and their representative bodies, researchers and students, all of whom share a passion for improving the home environment. The programme will include keynote plenary speakers, plenary sessions, and concurrent sessions addressing the key themes of the conference, as well as an extensive trade and exhibition component.
Sydney is always beautiful. but particularly so in August, when spring is in the air. ANZ Stadium is an ideal venue for all participants of the conference, and its atmosphere is particularly charged as the footy season nears its conclusion. Be sure to join our mailing list below for conference updates.
We look forward to welcoming you to Sydney!
